Students must complete three years of study in Regents level mathematics courses and pass the Integrated Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2/Trigonometry Regents Examinations with a grade of at least 65. This course is the third of three courses in the program and will prepare students for the Algebra 2 Regents Examination in June. To be successful, students must be organized and put forth consistent effort throughout the year. Students who allow themselves to fall behind often fall victim to the “snowball effect”, so students must be diligent. The curriculum, instruction, and assessment will focus on procedural knowledge, conceptual understanding, and problem solving. Graphing calculators will be used in this program to enhance and support the mathematics.
